Red Emma's Has No FBI File

Honestly, even I was shocked by the recent FBI revelation that it has no records pertaining to Red Emma's. When I had the request submitted, I was sure (at the very least) that someone had complained enough to compel the Bureau into investigating Red Emma's.

To be fair, my request was submitted shortly before the start of #occupybaltimore an action in which Red Emma's staff have played a key role. Naturally, members of the collective may have their own individual FBI files to which I am not privy.

Still, how hardcore can you be if lack an FBI file?

More Lost FBI Records: The National Aquarium Edition

Here is the FBI's response to a FOIA request for records pertaining to the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
In short, the FBI has declared that they had relevant records and lost them. So, after a couple of undoubtedly searches, they are closing out my request.

That's right. The FBI concedes that they lost investigative records that may contain financial data, information on individuals' criminal backgrounds, roles as informants, and so forth, but rather than locate it, they're simply going to shrug and write off my request.

That's some top-shelf service.

FBI Not Monitoring or Tracking #OccupyBaltimore Protest

FBI claims to have no records on #occupybaltimore. Whether this is to be believed is a decision I leave up to the individual reader.
